The Regional Town of Cap-Acadie officially inaugurated 4 Saisons Park on Sunday as part of AutomneFest. Located in the Grand-Barachois area, this new space was designed as a gathering place at the heart of Cap-Acadie’s cultural hub.
The official ceremony took place in the presence of members of Town Council, project partners and government representatives, during a day filled with activities for the whole family, including a live music performance, inflatable games, a local products and crafts market, a mobile petting zoo and a car show.
“We are very proud to see this first phase of 4 Saisons Park now completed and to finally be able to offer this new space to our community. It’s an important milestone, but it’s just the beginning. We have already started discussions about the next phase so we can continue developing the site and make it an even more welcoming gathering place for our community,” said Cap-Acadie Mayor Serge Leger.
This first phase of the project represents a $1.7 million investment, including a $499,000 contribution from the Regional Development Corporation of New Brunswick (RDC). This phase included site development as well as the construction of an outdoor amphitheatre with public washrooms and an artists’ dressing room.
The 4 Saisons Park can now host music performances, theatre productions and a variety of cultural and community activities. The Regional Town of Cap-Acadie thanks the Regional Development Corporation, as well as all partners and stakeholders who contributed to the completion of this first phase of the project.
