Cap-Acadie aims to provide quality services and ensure sustainable, responsible planning for the year 2026. The 2026 Budget focuses on road maintenance and repairs, municipal infrastructure, and various community improvement projects. The Regional Town will also continue its planning efforts for the opening of the Cap-Acadie Intergenerational Centre, a flagship project that will help strengthen local vitality and encourage exchanges between generations. Resources are also allocated to support cultural and tourism vitality as well as public safety.
The Regional Town of Cap-Acadie adopted its 2026 municipal budget during the regular council meeting held on November 10, 2025.
The tax rates of the new town are divided into four taxation units:
- Cap-Acadie East
- Cap-Acadie West
- Haute-Aboujagane
- Cap-Pelé
As in 2025, the tax rates for 2026 are as follows:
- Cap-Acadie East and Cap-Acadie West: $1.0211 per $100 of property assessment
- Haute-Aboujagane: $1.0481 per $100 of property assessment
- Cap-Pelé: $1.3400 per $100 of property assessment
